Sharon Wood
has been a professional storyteller since 1995. Her pride in her
Eastern European roots led her to build a repertoire of Folktales from
Around the World for audiences of all ages. A scarf, a hat, or an apron
plus a word or two spoken in the language give each story a special
touch. Her theme for her stories at the Alphorn Bistro will be "Salty
Tales" from Poland, Hungary, England and, of course, Germany. |

Andy Cheney brings to life through his portrayals, characters such as:
Ebenezer Webster, a little known 18th century soldier, settler and family man of Salisbury, New Hampshire; Joseph Martin
Plumb, a Private in the fledgling Continental Army, feeding off the
taste of freedom with little more than the shirt on his back. Stories of animals, Indians, danger, and fun.

George Radcliffe,
‘Uncle George’, shares a unique smorgasbord collection of folktales
that he calls “Slumgullion Tales”. ‘Uncle George’ has made each of
these tales his own by combining an original telling style with a sense
of humor, thus bringing the magic of each story to young and old
alike. His animated and engaging approach draws his audiences,
deep into the stories he narrates. George teaches people of all ages
the art of the oral tale and at any given time he has a range of
stories which run the gamut from intense to humorous.
We are sorry to
hear that Uncle George has been in a car accident. He is recovering
well but he will be greatly missed. We hope to have another
opportunity in the future to have him tell his fascinating stories here
at our inn.
